Dr. Aminat Ajibola
Dr. Aminat Abike Ajibola is a seasoned academic from University of Abuja, Nigeria with a B. Tech Hons. (ATBU), M.Sc (UniLag) and PhD (UTM) all in Computer Science. With several publications in top journals and several years of academic experience in various universities within and outside Nigeria. Dr. Ajibola has contributed significantly to research and technological advancements in Nigeria and United Kingdom while striving to contribute to the advancement of research in Saudi Arabia as well. Dr. Ajibola has successfully graduated a PhD candidate of Computer Science in the area of bigdata, numerous MSc candidates and currently working with six more PhD Computer students under her supervision. These are diverse top-level advanced researchers on various application areas of Computer Science; ranging from Advanced Persistent threats which is an aspect of Information Security, Machine Learning applications on African Breast Cancer, Computing Applications in Agriculture, Critical Financial Infrastructural Protection in Nigeria, Machine Learning to Undergraduate final grade Prediction, to mention but a few. She is a visiting researcher at the Interactive Media Laboratory, School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, UK. She is an active academic as an Assistant Professor at University of Hafr Al Batin, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Her on-going research activities is on Predictive Advanced Deep Learning Model for Female cancer Investigation, A preventive Medicine research on cancer. She has recently changed her name from Dr Aminat Showole to Dr Aminat Abila Ajibola. Thus, some of her earlier publications bear the old name. Dr Aminat Ajibola has facilitated significant collaboration between University of Abuja and both Internal NGOs in Nigeria such as TZE Foundation as well as International NGO such as Coderina Education and Technology Foundation mainly supported by SAP, Ireland. Sitting on the Board of Coderina, her active collaborative skill put together with that of other members on board to achieve 150 Million Naira worth project funding of FG-Coderina Partnership on Robotics, coding and project-based learning for all 104 Federal Government Schools in Nigeria. A renowned Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Scholar and highly dynamic woman of multifaceted skills in the ability to drive processes, she has won Elvan Jury World Child Innovation Award (2018). She has served at various capacities at the University of Abuja, Nigeria including two-terms as the Head, Department of Computer Science, Member of University Senate, Member of Anti-Plagiarism Committee, a Deputy Director at the Centre for Corruption Studies of the University. She has published scientific articles in Journals of high repute. Her research interests include Machine Learning, Big data, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Persistent Threats, Medical Informatics, Simulation, Open Source profitability business models and Action Research on Digital Literacy.
